Woodland Warfare - Ludum Dare 44!

Ok, so... After a long weekend of not much sleep and juggling D&D sessions and avoiding spoilers for Endgame, we finished a first version of Woodland Warfare!!!

I've been participating in game jams since a little over a year ago and I don't know why I always end up adapting the jam's theme so that I can make another one of my beloved shoot 'em up games. Lately I've been growing tired of it, however, so I tried to shake things up a little bit with something more slow paced.

For Woodland Warfare, I tried to build on a risk/reward system; every action you take makes you more vulnerable (to varying degrees of success).

This game felt way more challenging that all the other ones I've made so far. Take, for example,  the grid system and interactions and validations needed for the GUI, along with all of the other little systems that needed to be built from the ground up and that I'd never implemented before.

Also, balancing and progression is HARD and time demanding, especially while you're  juggling programming and asset assembling in Unity (You can make up your own minds about how successful I was at it after you play it).

In the end, this was another fun project for the Ludum Dare that I'm proud to have in my hands, and thanks to Pridelingand Kevzapatafor the amazing art for this game! I love you guys!

So now that you made it all the way down here, why don't you grab a friend and beat them at some Woodland Warfare!
